SSV Hint:
If you have taken the SSV Rating test and feel you made too many errors, it may not be the best estimate of your tennis ability. Every error lessens your SSV Rating by up to 4 points. You're at least as good as your first test, but many juniors feel they would test higher a second time. If you've played the SSV Grand Prix and you're happy with the competition at your level, chances are good you've taken an accurate test. If you're playing the Grand Prix and you find the competition is not challenging enough for you, chances are good you need to test again and get a higher rating. There are 4 Grand Prix seasons every year. We recommend you get a new SSV Rating before the beginning of a new season. At the very least, you should be retested once a year.

PLAY THE SSV JUNIOR GRAND PRIX

The main reason for getting an SSV Rating is to compete with other players at your level of play. The SSV Tennis Rating determines levels of play from beginner to expert, with scores between 0 & 200. Since everyone takes the same SSV Rating test, when you play someone within 10 points of your score, chances are good you'll have a competitive match. SSV Tennis provides the SSV Junior Grand Prix, weekly one-day, 3 hour Round Robin events where juniors compete at their level of play, not by age or gender. Trophies are awarded in all levels of play. Grand Prix points are also accumulated during a 3 month season and special awards are given to the top winners of each level.
