FIRST FRESHMAN TO MAKE VARSITY TEAM "I started playing SSV when I was about 8 years old. Being a part of SSV has really taught me how to be a better player, to appreciate sportsmanship and to learn more about myself. I won many SSV tournaments but I also lost many SSV tournaments. But every loss and win taught me how to improve as a tennis player. Last year I started at Carlsbad High School and I was the only freshman to make the varsity tennis team. I contribute my success to the competitiveness I felt at the SSV tournaments! Start young and keep going! Tennis is a great life long sport! Thanks SSV for teaching me so much!!
