2026 International
Tennis Basic Skills Challenge
Boys & Girls (ages 8-12)
Thank you for your interest in our new 2026 SSV Challenge. It's free and no travel is involved. To best answer your questions by email, let us know your location, contact info and tennis involvement (Tennis Association, Club, Pro, Volunteer, Parent, etc.).

Kids around the world can participate on their home courts and compare themselves with other kids and even world class players who have taken the SSV Challenge.
The unique part of the SSV Challenge is that the score is determined by the sum of three variables, control, power and mobility.
Players hit an underhand ball tossed to them for forehands, backhands and volleys. Players hit to target areas, with points scored for first bounce (control) and second bounce (power). Serves are scored for control and power. Speed is scored with an on-court mobility test.
Promotional material, score sheets and SSV Challenge Guidebook are available for those interested
The SSV Challenge requires a ball tosser under the supervision of a Provider. (Instructor, high school tennis player, parent, etc.). A volunteer to record the score is also desirable.
